Google Home now supports Oomi

Welcome Home!

We've now officially integrated with Google Home. For those of you using Google Assistant enabled speakers or phones will be able to enjoy the added luxury of voice control.

First make sure your Cube is running the latest firmware. You can do this by going into settings> system> check for updates.

Here's a list of some of the commands you can try:

Voice commands

Phrase Result
Turn on the (device name) Device turns on.
Turn off the (device name) Device turns off.
Dim the (device name) Device dims the light.
Brighten the (device name) Device brightens the light.
Dim the (device name) 20% Device dims the light by set amount (use best judgement or larger changes when brightness is difficult to tell).
Brighten the (device name) 20% Device brightens the light by set amount (use best judgement or larger changes when brightness is difficult to tell).
Set the (device name) to 50% Device sets the light to 50% brightness.
Set the (light name) to (color) Light changes color. Try blue, purple, green, yellow, pink, and red as supported.
Is the (device name) on? (with the device turned on) Checks whether the device is on
Is the (device name) off? (with the device turned on) Checks whether the device is off
Turn on the lights All linked lights and devices with "Light" in the name are turned on.
Turn on all the lights All linked lights and devices with "Light" in the name are turned on.
Turn on everything. All linked lights and plugs are turned on.
Turn on the lights in the (room name) All linked lights and devices with "Light" in the name in the specified room are turned on.
Turn on the (room name) lights All linked lights and devices with "Light" in the name in the specified room are turned on.
Turn on the (device nick name) Device with the nickname turns on.
Set the (light name) to warm/soft/cool white Adjust the temperature of white light

It's super easy to set up, all you need to do is link your Oomi account with Google Home:

1. Open your Google Home app and head into 'Home control'.

2. Locate and press the '+' button in the bottom right corner.

3. Scroll down the list to find 'Oomi' and click on it.

4. Login using your Oomi account.

5. Make sure to authorize Google.

6. Here you can assign rooms and change device names. Press done in the top right when complete.

7. Congratulations, you're ready to use Google Home with your Oomi devices!
